Mobile homes are a prefabricated structure, built in a factory on a permanently attached chassis and is then transferred to a home site where it can be installed on either piers with tie downs or affixed to a permanent foundation (basement or crawlspace).

Mobile Homes and H03 Homeowner policies

Historically, if the home was installed on a permanent foundation, most insurance companies would write the risk on a regular H03 Homeowner policy. Starting in 2008 with Hurricane Ike and the latest with super storm Sandy, these homes sustained significant wind damage and most insurance companies have responded by inspecting these risks. If a mobile home was written on a H03 homeowner form, insurance companies have elected to re-write their insured to a mobile home insurance policy or cancel/non-renew the insured’s homeowner policy altogether. With these drastic changes by insurance companies, Logan Insurance Agency has also reacted by partnering with additional insurance companies that specifically write Mobile Home Insurance including the #1 insurer of Mobile Homes, Foremost Insurance. We understand these type of risks and we are able to offer owners of these homes quality and affordable policy options.
